George W Gorton first opened a Billiard hall and saloon in Soda Springs. For his business, he purchased the saloon mirror that now hangs in Carol Clark Ridge's home. Family rumor says he closed the saloon when he was chastised by his father, Job, and opened the family Supply Store instead.
